Horse Judges Certification
Certification
At the Minnesota 4-H horse judges seminar every spring, new people can apply to become certified or re-certified as a 4-H horse judge.
Certified 4-H horse judges must attend a Minnesota 4-H horse judges seminar once every three years to be recertified and remain on the current 4-H horse judges list that comes out every September.

There is a new format to the judges list. Judges have been asked to rate their comfort level on several horse show categories and their responses are recorded in the directory. The level refers to the number of years they have held their judges card and the number of 4-H qualifying shows they have judged. Read the How to use judges directory guide for more information on this rating system.
