Urban 4-H events
Urban 4-H Youth Development events offer youth in the Twin Cities metropolitan area a range of activities in addition to their regular club and after-school activities.
Fall is upon us, and so is the
Urban 4-H Fall Statewide Leader Training and
Youth Leadership Summit!
Saturday, Sept. 28, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
UROC (2001 Plymouth Ave. N., Minneapolis 55411)
This will be a great opportunity to learn about new research in youth development, do hands-on activities, participate in breakout sessions, and meet with fellow leaders.
Remember: every club must send at least one leader to the fall statewide training, and we especially encourage teams of youth and adults to attend together.
Lunch will be served!
Please register by Sept. 18 by contacting Kathryn Sharpe at firstname.lastname@example.org or 612-624-7562 with attendee's name, age (of youth), club, email, phone number and any dietary restrictions
Being part of a group where youth feel welcomed and respected is a priority in 4-H club and group environments. a welcoming environment results in young people who are actively engaged and feel valued. volunteers can get ideas for their club in the online training, Creating a welcoming 4-H environment: Engaging, encouraging and respectful.
This training is part of a series of dynamic, interactive 30-minute online training modules to help volunteers build their skills and knowledge. The trainings are available to all adult screened volunteers at https://mn.4honline.com/.
