I'm looking for a specific photo
4-H State Fair photos that are located on the 4-H SmugMug site can be located by searching for a specific exhibitor's name, the species, award donor name, etc. Enter the desired search term then click on the magnifying glass.
As an alternative, if you know the species or county, you can use one of the links on the 4-H Fair Results web page.
I'd like to order a print of a photo
Once you locate a photo or photos and would like to order professional quality prints, click on any of the shopping tools on the 4-H SmugMug site.
Note that the prices you will pay will cover the cost for SmugMug to print the photo, plus an additional amount that helps to fund the other expenses of providing these photos (staff time, eqiupment, etc.)
I want to download a high quality image (i.e. for printing locally, at home or for publishing in local newspapers, etc.)
Full resolution image files are available for download. There are a couple of ways to do this - but the goal is to access the "Original" size of the photo. First, click on the desired photo so that it's "featured" or "opened" (this might mean clicking on the image twice). Then, either hover your mouse over the photo and wait for the toolbar to appear, or use the Size links (see below for examples). Once your browser has loaded the Original size of the image file, do a right click to "Save" the image file.

I know a 4-H member and am wondering what ribbon or placing they got
If you know the member's county, it's easiest to start by just looking at the results for one county - using the "by County" listings.
Otherwise, all 4-H members are listed in the All Results listing. If desired, sort by any of the columns, and then use the controls at the bottom of the page to navigate through the pages.
Results can be narrowed down farther (if you know the county) by accessing the "by County" listings and then navigation through the names.

I'd like to know how a particular class or species was placed
There are two options for viewing results by class. The first option is to use the links under each species on the main results page. The other is to use the "by Division" listing page.
The Champions and other Award and Class winners are listed in the News Releases for each species.
I'd like to know how 4-H'ers in my county have placed
Following the completion of the fair, a complete report for each county will be posted. Until then, the best way to locate county results is the "by County" listings.
I can find the person I am looking for, but there is no placing listed
The most likely reason for this is that either the judging for that activity has not happened yet, or the results are still being processed for posting. Please check back later. Our goal is to get results posted within 1-2 days of the completion of judging.
I know that someone got a purple ribbon, but I can't find their photo
It will take 24 hours (or possibly longer) to get photos posted, following the completion of each judging session. Please check back later to see if the photo is posted then.
It is also possible, due to the participant's availability for photos, that some purple ribbon winners did not get their photos taken. In other words, it is often up to the participant to be a particular place at a particular time to have their photo taken, and not all participants are able to make that happen.
What do the placing and placing abbreviations mean?
In the listings, the following abbreviations are used:
CH - Champion (used only for livestock)
RC - Reserve Champion (used only for livestock)
PR - Purple (optionally used, at the judge's discretion, to designate the top exhibits in a class)
BL - Blue (not ranked in any listing)
RD - Red (not ranked in any listing)
WH - White
PA - Participation
HC - Honor Court (only used for Fashion Revue)
