Get Involved!
Has your county ever considered hosting a shooting sports/wildlife leader training? Do you have an interest in hosting an event within the next year? Would you like to host one close to your county so your volunteers could get trained close to home? If you answered yes to any of those questions, please read on!
There are several opportunities for shooting sports/wildlife leader trainings and we are looking for host sites throughout Minnesota. It would involve a weekend (typically a Friday night through Sunday noon, for a total of 20 hours of training time) in which leaders come and get training in a specific discipline.
We would like to plan these trainings and put dates on the calendar, so you can advertise them to leaders, and so the trainers can plan for these upcoming events. If you would have an interest in hosting a shooting sports/wildlife leader training, please contact Kia Harries or call 507-372-3908 for more information on hosting requirements, such as accommodations and meal planning. If you are ready to volunteer, fill out a hosting request form and we will coordinate with you on dates.
