Citizenship Washington Focus(CWF)

Citizenship Washington Focus is a leadership and citizenship program for high school youth from across the United States. Learn about the government process, meet with elected officials and their aides, and visit the many national monuments and historical sites of Washington D.C. You will stay at the National 4-H Conference Center during the weeklong trip.

  • June 30 - July 7, 2012 - National 4-H Conference Center, Washington, D.C.
  • January 23, 2012 - Application process begins (first-come, first-served trip)
  • February 28, 2012 - Final deadline for application forms and complete payment for youth participants

Application forms and information

  • Youth application (288 K DOC) | (6,760 K RTF)
    • This is a first-come, first-served trip. $700 deposit is due with the application. The final due date for the application and complete payment is February 28, 2012. Application form includes complete payment and deadline information.Make checks payable University of Minnesota.

  • Adult application (178 K DOC) | (3,350 K RTF)
    • Application includes information and requirements for potential Co-Coordinator and Adult Volunteer Chaperones.
    • This application is also used by staff to apply for Lead Group Coordinator.
    • Completed applications are due February 28, 2012. Payment is due when you receive notification that you have been selected as a chaperone/co-coordinator and no later than April 2, 2012.
