4-H youth leader retreats

Building Leadership and Understanding (BLU!) is an exciting and fun area leadership adventure that brings together over 500 youth from across Minnesota to help them learn and practice valuable skills that they will be able to take back with them to their counties and communities and use throughout their lives.

When and where is BLU?

• January 21-22, 2012 - Crowne Plaza, Minneapolis North
• February 4-5, 2012 - Hampton Inn & Suites, Bemidji
• February 11-12, 2012 - AmericInn, Mankato

Registration is Sat. between 12:45 and 1 p.m. BLU will end at 11:30 a.m. on Sun.

Who can attend?

All youth (non-4-H youth are encouraged to participate) who are currently enrolled in grades 6th - 12th and freshman in college. Registrations are contingent on appropriate chaperone coverage. The right is reserved to refuse registration if appropriate coverage is not provided. Refunds will occur if the registration is refused.

BLU in 2012!

The Minnesota 4-H Ambassador Team invites all youth (6th grade and up) to join them for this fantastic leadership opportunity, iLead! Mark your calendar now to attend the BLU nearest you and join other youth from the state in an inspiring weekend of learning and leading! Topics include decision-making and conflict management, as well as dancing, fun police activities and small group bonding! .

How much does it cost?

The cost to register for BLU! is $80 for all participants and adult chaperones. This covers all meals, lodging, activities, and supplies. A conference t-shirt will be available for an additional $12 if ordered at registration.

A late fee of $10 per person will be added for registrations received after Friday, December 23, 2011.

Registrations from each county must be accompanied with the chaperones name before the registration for participants will be accepted.
