Shop-wood & metal
Learn techniques and skills to use routers, joiners, table saws, tape measures, drills and more.
Power of the Wind
Explore wind as an energy source as you design, build, and test wind-powered devices!
Wildlife biology
Learn about wildlife populations and habitats, and how to become a good steward of the land.
Geology
Study lakes, aquifers, caves, streams, iron deposits, rocks, and fossils.
Crop science
Learn about Minnesota crops, soil fertility, weed and insect pests, food storage and business.
Animal science
Love animals? Learn about selecting, feeding, managing, caring for, judging, training and showing animals.
Robotics
Use science, math, engineering and technology to design, build and program a robot.
Aerospace
Learn about the science of flight. Build a rocket, airplane or hot air balloon.
Video
Learn about video production and filmmaking, including composition, camera and lighting techniques, and editing.
Electric
Build circuits and test voltages. Learn about wiring, lighting, and safety issues.
Tractors
Learn about maintenance, restoration and operation, fuels, hydraulic and electrical systems, and safety.
Bicycle
Learn how to choose a bike, bike maintenance and repair, and road rules to make riding safe and fun.
Water & wetlands
Learn about ecosystems, water quality and the lives that depend on the state's wetlands - including our own.
Plant & soil science
Learn about parts of a plant, photosynthesis, cross-pollination, soil, erosion and more.
Entomology
Learn about insect collecting, experiments, research and careers.
Cloverbuds
4-H Cloverbuds explore and learn about the world in a non-competitive environment by doing fun activities with the guidance of parents or other adult helpers.
Self-determined
If you find that no single project is quite right for you, you can develop your own project. Be your own researcher, scientist, artist, communicator, and evaluator. Ask your local 4-H leader or Extension staff for resources to help create your own project area.
