Josey Landrieu

Current work, research and interests
Josey collaborates with Extension faculty, educators and community partners to design, develop, and support the assessment and improvement of the quality, outputs, and outcomes of Center for Youth Development programs. Her work is intended to ensure that data are available and staff have the capacity to use the data to improve programs, promote organizational learning, and deepen program impact on critical priority issues.
Josey is a Ph.D. candidate in the comparative and international development program at the University of Minnesota and works in the Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center (UROC). Her research focus is examining the role that non-formal learning opportunities play in the educational experiences of immigrant Latino youth. She’s part of a research project that is examining the pathways of youth in out-of-school time programs, focusing on Latino youth in Minnesota and Illinois. Josey’s scholarship, teaching, and program leadership strive to bridge the university with the community. She hopes to bring university resources to communities across the state and community wisdom back to the work at the university.
