Joanna Tzenis
Assistant Extension professor
Current work, research and interests
Joanna brings experience in community organizing and action research to her role advancing program development and implementation of the Minnesota CYFAR Sustainable Communities Project and the Indian Country program. She is also a member of the Pathways Project / Proyecto Caminos research team.
Joanna’s research examines the interplay between young people and their sociocultural environments. She is interested in researching and developing youth programs that foster skills, aspirations and social capital youth can employ to become social change agents and active contributors to the welfare and vitality of their communities.
