Minnesota 4-H Foundation - Helping youth thrive

The Minnesota 4-H Foundation believes all young people should have the opportunity to gain the life skills they need to succeed.

To reach this goal, the foundation raises private funds to support the Minnesota 4-H Youth Development Program.

We ask you to join the effort to empower today's youth in discovering their potential by supporting the work of the Minnesota 4-H Foundation.

The Power of Wind Logo

Power of Wind

The Power of Wind project, developed by Minnesota 4-H through a grant from 3M, ignites youth learning, curiosity, and leadership in renewable energy through hands-on learning. Trained adult volunteers lead 240 youth in six states to learn the engineering design process of wind energy, and to educate others and advocate for renewable energy in their communities.

TryScience

A $10,000 grant from IBM helped the Minnesota 4-H Foundation bring TryScience TryScience to the 2009 Minnesota State Fair. Youth volunteers led fair visitors through online activities and explored science concepts, trained by 4-H and the University of Minnesota Digital Divide Initiative. IBM also contributed laptop computers so youth could bring TryScience to other parts of the state.
