Master Gardener works with students

Every day, Master Gardeners bring University research-based information into your communities and schools, and educate people on best practices of consumer horticulture and environmental stewardship.

Consider making a different kind of investment – a financial investment – in the state Master Gardener program. Currently, the main source of revenue comes from the core course class fees. These pay the salary and benefits for the state administrative assistant position as well as day-to-day operating expenses. We want to keep these class fees affordable, and continue to support a thriving program that is sustainable and gives Minnesotans the opportunity to pursue lifelong learning and your passion of teaching horticulture.

You can make your tax-deductible donation online. Please be sure to designate the Master Gardener program as the specific recipient of your gift.

In-kind donations and financial contributions from corporate donors are also welcome. Matching gift programs may be organized in collaboration with the state Master Gardener program. For more information, please get in touch with me at 612-625-1925 or weise019@umn.edu.

Your gift to the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener program will help ensure this program continues to grow and thrive, ensuring the sustainability of the program, giving you and your fellow gardeners the opportunity to pursue lifelong learning.

Thank you,

Julie Weisenhorn, State Director
University of Minnesota Master Gardener program
