In 2013, Extension will serve even more Minnesotans who struggle with health issues, financial difficulty and food insecurity through innovative programs like Cooking Matters™ that teaches families how to shop on a budget and cook healthy meals at home. Your financial assistance makes a difference.
Your contributions at work:
| $50 | Covers the cost of the learning materials and manuals for 10 graduates of the program. The manuals include both nutritional information covered each week as well as about 70 new healthy recipes. | |
| $100 | Allows us to incorporate the $10 grocery shopping challenge for 10 participants as part of our Cooking Matters® at the Store class. Participants are provided tips on how to put together a healthy meal on $10 or less and then purchase the groceries to prepare the meal at home. | |
| $750 | Provides the food necessary to present a six week Cooking Matters™ for Adults course for up to 15 participants. This includes classroom demos and the groceries sent home each week with teen and adult participants. |
