The Reach for the Sky program makes science, technology, engineering and mathematics more culturally relevant to Anishinabe in grades 5-12 through:

  • Summer program for middle school students
  • Training for Reservation teachers
  • Afterschool providers' curriculum and materials

Former Vice President Walter Mondale narrates this video on the Circle of Life School on the White Earth Reservation in northern Minnesota. A collaboration between the University's 4-H, Extension, and Institute of Technology engages students in science, math and engineering through hands-on learning and traditional American Indian stories.
