National 4-H Hall of Fame
Nominations due: typically February 1
The National 4-H Hall of Fame was created during the 4-H Centennial in 2002 to recognize and celebrate people who have made a significant impact on 4-H and its millions of members over the past 100 years. Every state, U.S. territory, NAE4-HA, CSREES/USDA and National 4-H Council is invited annually to nominate a favorite son or daughter for consideration. Minnesota 4-H solicits nominations in early December.
Eligibility guidelines
Any 4-H adult (living or deceased) who has exhibited outstanding citizenship, leadership, career accomplishments and character can be nominated by county or regional Extension educators. These qualities must have been demonstrated through participation in 4-H. One finalist is selected and submitted to National Hall of Fame Committee. The recipient of the National 4-H Hall of Fame Award is invited to participate in a ceremony at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
